Great Valley
'Environmental Justice' discussion
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM / February 17, 2022
Robert Bullard, considered the "father of environmental justice," defines environmental racism as “any policy, practice or directive that differentially affects or disadvantages (where intended or unintended) individuals, groups or communities based on race.” While many often think of places like Cancer Alley, Louisiana, and Flint, Michigan, as examples, environmental racism is present right here in the Greater Philadelphia region.
In an event hosted by the Penn State Great Valley Sustainability Council, join Chester Residents Concerned for Quality Living (or CRCQL – pronounced "circle") to learn about environmental justice, discover where your waste products go, and find potential ways to help.
This event will take place via Zoom.
