MALVERN, Pa. — Penn State Great Valley has launched a new annual alumni awards program that includes three new awards. Two are distinctly created to honor alums of Great Valley degree programs, and the third will recognize an “honorary alum” — a friend of the campus who is not an alum of Great Valley.
Penn State Great Valley’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations and Office of the Chancellor worked together to create new awards that best recognize constituents’ contributions to the campus, professional achievements and impact on the greater Penn State community and society at large. Great Valley is currently seeking nominations for the following new alumni awards:
- Outstanding Alumni Award — This award honors a Great Valley master’s program alum who has achieved considerable success in his or her specific field, career or community.
- GOLD (Graduate of the Last Decade) Award — This award recognizes an alum from the past 10 years who has demonstrated exceptional achievements and impactful contributions in his or her field, career or community, exemplifying remarkable success and serving as an inspiration for future graduates.
- Honorary Alumni Award — This award honors a passionate constituent who is not a graduate of Penn State Great Valley but has made a significant impact from a philanthropic, academic or developmental standpoint.
The nomination window for the 2025 alumni awards will close at the end of July. The Great Valley Advisory Board’s alumni relations committee and Chancellor and Dean Colin Neill will review nominations. Awardees will be honored at a celebratory event in the fall.
Anyone may nominate an alum or friend of Penn State Great Valley whose professional accomplishments and commitment to the University and/or community deserve recognition.
