King named director of development at Penn State Greater Allegheny

MCKEESPORT, Pa. — Laura King has been named director of campus development at Penn State Greater Allegheny, effective Aug. 15. Before coming to Penn State, King worked at Clarion University, where she was director of alumni relations and the annual fund. King previously served Clarion University as a major gifts development officer. Prior to serving in these positions, she was with the March of Dimes in Erie.

At the Greater Allegheny campus, King will focus her efforts on both securing major gifts and developing the campus’ donor base by seeking and securing Annual Leadership Gift support.

“The Greater Allegheny campus community, including our alumni and friends, are excited we were able to attract Laura to our join our campus as our new development director," said Penn State Greater Allegheny Chancellor Andrew Egan. "Her background will enable the campus to take its development and alumni relations program to new heights.”   

King has more than 11 years of higher education advancement and development experience. She holds a bachelor’s of science degree in liberal arts from Clarion University.
