Harrisburg LaunchBox to present Truist Empowered Entrepreneurs Executive Series

Five-part series to help connect startups with local resources

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — The Harrisburg LaunchBox, powered by Penn State will host the Truist Empowered Entrepreneurs Executive Series at Penn State Harrisburg this fall. The series will kickoff on Oct. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a luncheon and panel discussion titled “A Thriving Region,” featuring guest speaker Norman Bristol-Colón, Pennsylvania’s first chief diversity officer.

Panelists include:

  • Alison Ong Shreffler – founder, AOS Architects
  • Jonathan Bowser – president, Steel Works Construction
  • Carley Furlow – founder, Sharps & Flats / Carley Furlow Designs

The five-part series is sponsored by the Truist Foundation and aims to help strengthen small businesses in the Harrisburg region by inspiring innovation and entrepreneurship and helping connect startups with local resources. It will convene diverse leaders in the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem around topics, including:

  • Access to capital
  • Technical support programs
  • Mentorship for success
  • Research and development of new technologies
  • Best practices and policies on inclusion
