Harrisburg men’s tennis wins third straight conference title

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Penn State Harrisburg's men's tennis team rolled to a 4-1 victory over St. Mary's College of Maryland on May 3 to clinch the program's third straight United East Championship.

With the win, the Lions secured their third conference title in as many seasons and their fourth in program history. Penn State Harrisburg also secured an automatic berth in the upcoming NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

Ved Pawar was named the United East Championship Tournament Most Valuable Player.

The team will now advance to the NCAA Division III tournament and play Stevens Institute of Technology on Friday, May 8, in the first round of competition, on the campus of North Carolina Wesleyan University.
