Master’s of public administration program maintains NASPAA accreditation

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — The Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) has extended the accreditation for the master’s of public administration (MPA) program in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Public Affairs. The six-year extension of accreditation is the outcome of a recent review by NASPAA’s Commission on Peer Review and Accreditation. The college’s MPA program is part of a global community of more than 200 NASPAA-accredited graduate programs in public service. 

“The reaccreditation speaks to the quality of the faculty and students in our MPA program, and the successful and rewarding careers of our alumni,” said the college’s School of Public Affairs Director L. Martin Overby.

NASPAA is the recognized global accreditor of master’s degree programs in public policy, affairs and administration. its mission is to ensure excellence in education and training for public service and to promote the ideal of public service.

The Penn State Harrisburg MPA program was first accredited by NASPAA in 1980.
