HAZLETON, Pa. — Penn State Hazleton honored employees marking milestones of employment during a luncheon at the campus, with faculty and staff members recognized for their service to the campus and the University.
Chancellor Gary Lawler and Director of Academic Affairs Elizabeth Wright presented the employees with gifts in recognition of their years of service.
Employees who were recognized during the luncheon include:
One year: Ryan Ehrie, director of athletics; Lenore Koval, financial assistant, bursar’s office; Karen Lightcap, Practical Nursing program coordinator; Mary Mehalshick, financial assistant, Housing and Food Services; Christine Shatto, instructor in Physical Therapy Assistant; and Mark Tranguch, manager, Housing and Food Services.
Five years: Marzieh Bolhassani, assistant professor of economics; Gina Dignazio, cashier, Housing and Food Services; Neil LaGreca, food preparer; Daniel Mansson, assistant professor of communication; Tammy Spevak, academic adviser; and Harold Starr, maintenance worker.
Ten years: Sarah Evancho, financial aid coordinator; Mark Moran, maintenance worker; Robert Pecile, heating, ventilating and electrical mechanic; and Carole Shearer, administrative support assistant.
Fifteen years: Pavel Azalov, associate professor of computer science; Donna Ellis, administrative support assistant; Christopher Goguen, associate professor of biology; Ronald Harman, information resources and services supervisor-manager; Frank Marko, professor of mathematics; Robert Matchick, maintenance worker; Frank Novak, instructor in chemistry; Jane Waitkus, senior instructor in English; Diane Wood, food preparer; Elizabeth Wright, director of academic affairs; and Michele Yanuzzi, administrative support assistant.
Twenty years: Barbara Brazon, senior instructor in Information Science and Technology; Carol Jastremsky, administrative support assistant; Michael Kattner, information resources and services support specialist; and Sherry Robinson, associate professor of business.
Twenty-five years: David Phillips, maintenance worker.
