HAZLETON, Pa. — Penn State Hazleton and Hazle Drugs have partnered to host a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic for students, employees, and employees’ families from 1-4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, at the campus Health Center, located in 704 West Hall. First, second and booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines will be offered.
Appointments are encouraged and can be made online, although drop-ins will be accepted based on availability.
Individuals ages 12 and older are eligible for the first, second and booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The Moderna vaccine is available for first, second and booster doses to those ages 18 and older.
For booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, individuals must be ages 12 and older and been vaccinated more than five months ago. Those receiving the Moderna booster must be ages 18 and older and been vaccinated more than five months ago.
Those who are getting a second or booster dose are required to bring their vaccine card.
Penn State continues to strongly encourage all students and employees to get vaccinated and share their vaccination status with the University. Students can upload their vaccination records through myUHS, while employees should do so through Salesforce Health Cloud.
Students enrolled at Penn State Hazleton who are taking in-person classes or web courses — living both on and off campus — who remain unvaccinated or do not share confirmation of their COVID-19 vaccination with the University will continue to have to test weekly for COVID-19 throughout the spring 2022 semester or until they share with the University that they have been fully vaccinated.
