HAZLETON, Pa. — High school students or students looking to transfer from another institution are invited to visit Penn State Hazleton for an on-campus open house from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5.
The open house will include a presentation from an admissions counselor, a campus tour, and opportunities to have individual questions about academic programs, campus life and more answered by current students, faculty, and staff.
Participants will hear details on the baccalaureate and associate degree programs that can be completed at Penn State Hazleton, and the more than 275 majors that can be started at Hazleton and completed at University Park or another campus. Attendees will also have their Penn State application fee waived.
Following lunch at Highacres Café, participants will take a campus tour that includes a visit to the Mary M. and Bertil E. Lofstrom Library, which recently underwent a $7.6M renovation project. The library tour will feature demonstrations of the tools and technology available to students, like the Makerspace and one-button studio.
There will also be an opportunity for interested students and their families to explore the campus’ Physical Therapist Assistant program, featuring a tour of our state-of-the-art physical therapy facility and equipment that mirrors that of contemporary practices.
