HAZLETON, Pa. — A holiday tradition will return to Penn State Hazleton on Wednesday, Dec. 6, when the campus hosts the community for photos with Santa Claus and the Nittany Lion as part of its annual donation drive.

Organized by the Hazleton Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association, the event will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Evelyn Graham Academic Building. There is no cost, but attendees are encouraged to consider bringing a donation benefiting two organizations: Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville or United Charity Home in West Hazleton. The children’s hospital is in need of new, unwrapped toys while United Charity Home is seeking toiletries, new DVDs that have been released and clothing such as socks and underwear.

For those unable to attend on Dec. 6, donation drop-off boxes are available at three locations:

Monetary gifts can be mailed to Hazleton PSAA, PO Box 2624, Hazleton, PA 18201, or through Venmo at @HazletonChapter-PSSA.
