Visit Penn State Hazleton Aug. 16 for ‘Spend a Summer Day’

HAZLETON, Pa. — Prospective students and their families are invited to visit Penn State Hazleton for its “Spend a Summer Day” event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16.

During their visit, attendees will learn about the campus’ degree program offerings, including the two- and four-year degrees that can be completed at Penn State Hazleton in majors like business, criminal justice, computer science, engineering, information technology, medical laboratory technology, physical therapist assistant, project and supply chain management and more.

Guests will also hear about the more than 275 Penn State degrees that can be started at Penn State Hazleton and completed at University Park or another Penn State campus as part of the 2+2 Plan.

In addition, prospective students will learn about financial aid, scholarships and awards, and ways to get involved on campus before exploring Penn State Hazleton’s residential campus during a tour led by current students.

“Visiting our campus is the perfect way to find out whether Penn State Hazleton is right for you,” Director of Enrollment Management Aaron Mattern said. “From learning about our majors and meeting current students to checking out our scenic campus, ‘Spend a Summer Day’ is a valuable, fun first step on your path to becoming a Penn Stater.”

“Spend a Summer Day” attendees who apply to Penn State will have their application fee waived.
