College of Health and Human Development names fall 2022 student marshals

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The College of Health and Human Development has named two student marshals to represent the college at Penn State’s fall commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 17.

Diana Minton

Diana Minton, daughter of Paul Minton of Boulder, Colorado, and Judy Minton, of San Francisco, California, will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies. She was a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda, an honor society for adult learners.

Minton is a 2013 graduate of Fusion Academy San Francisco in San Francisco, California. After graduating from Penn State, she plans to work in the human services industry before pursuing an advanced degree.

Marget Shelly

Marget Shelly, daughter of Karen and Lucas Shelly of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies. She was a member of the Penn State Swim Team and was named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team in 2020. She was also THON chair for the Student Athlete Advisory Board.

Shelly is a graduate of Trinity High School in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. After graduation, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in higher education at Penn State to prepare for a career as an academic adviser or learning specialist.
