HERSHEY, Pa. — Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital has earned two awards from Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a nationwide organization of 170 hospitals that serve pediatric patients and families. CMN Hershey was recognized with the highest overall fundraising award ($4,456,351) and the highest per capita fundraising award ($2.28) for a medium-size market.
The awards, which are given annually by CMN Hospitals, recognize the top fundraising programs among hospitals that serve populations of 500,000 to 1 million people. This year marks the 14th consecutive year that CMN Hershey has earned this honor.
CMN Hershey raises funds all year long through events, store register campaigns, corporate donations and individual giving. Gifts support life-saving equipment, family-centered programs and transformative research at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.
“The generosity of this community never ceases to amaze me,” said Dr. Yatin Vyas, professor and chair of the Department of Pediatrics and pediatrician-in-chief at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. “On behalf of all our pediatric patients and their families, I want to thank each of our donors for making miracles possible for the children in our care.”
"We are incredibly grateful for our donors and the huge impact they make in the lives of countless children and families in our region," said Katie Anderson, director of CMN Hershey.
CMN Hershey has raised more than $87 million for Penn State Health Children's Hospital over the last 36 years.
