HERSHEY, Pa. — Nearly 100 middle schoolers from Dauphin County learned about health care professions in the life sciences during the Health Care Professions in the Life Sciences event at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center on March 2. The Medical Center partnered with the Dauphin County Medical Society Alliance (DCMSA) on the educational session.

Students listened to 11 speakers from Life Lion, DNAsimple, the stroke program, radiology, music therapy and more during the four-hour event. Lower Dauphin, Good Hope, Saint Joseph’s, Eagle View and Good Shepherd middle schools attended.

The DCMSA is a nonprofit that works to improve community health, support medical education and engage in charitable activities that contribute to charitable organizations on behalf of the medical profession.
