Penn State Health to celebrate Independence Day with free concert on July 3

HERSHEY, Pa. — On Tuesday, July 3, Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and the Hershey Symphony Orchestra will present “An American Salute,” the annual Independence Day celebration on the front lawn of the Medical Center. The community is invited to this free concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. The rain date is Wednesday, July 4.

Admission and parking are free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase starting at 6 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to sit on during the concert. Open flames (i.e., candles) are prohibited. No pets are allowed, but service animals are permitted.

The first half of the concert will feature a range of Broadway and movie selections. For the second half, the orchestra will perform several patriotic selections that celebrate America and pay special tribute to those who have served in the armed forces.
