HERSHEY, Pa. — Penn State Health took an important step today (April 25) toward consolidating several medical and surgical specialties into a modern, spacious and newly renovated location.
“This renovated space allows our physicians and staff from multiple surgical specialties to better serve our patients right here, in one location,” said Dr. Safa Farzin, senior vice president of Penn State Health Medical Group. “It supports our long-term goal of ensuring that everyone in the communities we serve is within 10 minutes of a Penn State Health primary care provider, 20 minutes of its specialty care services, and 30 minutes of a Penn State Health acute care hospital.”
The physicians who practice at the Specialty Services office will perform surgeries nearby at Penn State Health’s Holy Spirit Medical Center and Hampden Medical Center.
Specialty Services is located in the Susquehanna Outpatient Center at 429 N. 21st St. in Camp Hill, on the campus of Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center. It includes 21 exam rooms, three procedure rooms, and two x-ray rooms. The urology practice is being relocated from Hampden Medical Center, while the rest of the surgical practices will be moved from the nearby Medical Arts Building.
Later this summer, Specialty Services will welcome five new physicians: two new general surgeons, two bariatric surgeons, and an additional urologist.
