HERSHEY, Pa. — On April 27, Penn State Health Lime Spring Outpatient Center swapped clinical appointments for food trucks and family fun. Spooky Nook Sports Complex and the Lancaster Barnstormers’ Cylo joined Penn State Health to celebrate the facility’s opening and welcome neighbors.

“We do what we do because we are passionate about giving our patients the care they need at a place close to home,” said Trisha Cobian, clinical site administrator at Lime Spring Outpatient Center. “We invited the community out to show them our facility and let them know we’re here for them.”

Community members met and talked with providers, took tours of the facility and enjoyed fare from local food trucks. Spooky Nook provided gymnastics fun for kids while Cylo met with fans.

Penn State Health also partnered with East Hempfield Township Police to collect unused or expired medications, needles and syringes for safe disposal for Drug Take-Back Day.

The Lime Spring facility, which opened in January, features primary care and a large complement of specialty services, including orthopedics and sports medicine, cardiology, dermatology, urology, otolaryngology, breast care, optometry, audiology, physical therapy, imaging and cardiac testing.
