HERSHEY, Pa. -- Penn State Hershey Rehabilitation Hospital unveiled its newly expanded hospital with a dedication of the new facilities and a symbolic tree planting on Earth Day to represent growth of medical services for patients in central Pennsylvania.
The dedication was followed by a ribbon-cutting event on May 7, with special guest Department of Health Secretary Michael Wolf. The newly expanded hospital includes 44 additional beds, a transitional care program, a Center for Wound Care and a Comprehensive Outpatient Center.
Penn State Hershey Rehabilitation Hospital is a partnership between Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Select Medical Corporation, one of the nation's largest and most respected providers of comprehensive rehabilitation and specialized acute care services.
