HERSHEY, Pa. -- Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital recently received a visit from two very generous families. Jasmine Krell and her children, Elijah, Zariah and Kiana, and Taryn Farhat and her children, Amina, Olivia and Hannah, delivered a check in the amount of $1,500.A few months ago, each child was given $250. They were told they could give it away to wherever, or whomever, they choose. All six children decided together to give the money to the Children’s Hospital, specifically to the Patient- and Family-Centered Care Program. Jasmine and Taryn, along with their husbands, have instilled in their children a spirit of philanthropy from a young age. Both families believe in giving back to their local community and now their children have experienced, firsthand, what it is like to help make a difference in the lives of others. Their gift will truly make an impact at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.
