Penn State Hershey Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center’s Dr. David Stewart is evaluating the endoscopic Crohn’s disease rates between two different medications throughout the year following ileocolectomy. Volunteers are needed for this research study.
To be eligible, volunteers must be at least 18 years old with Crohn’s disease severe enough to require an ileocolectomy, or removal of a section of the colon.
For the study, volunteers will randomly receive one of two medications and take as directed, and attend five visits over a year after surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

This research study, IRB 36497, has been approved by the Institutional Review Board, under federal regulations at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine.
