Human Resources to offer mental health webinar for employees on May 16

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As part of the University’s ongoing efforts to promote health and well-being for Penn State employees, the Human Resources benefits team will host a free webinar for Mental Health Awareness Month at 9 a.m. on May 16.

The webinar is hosted by the University’s Employee Assistant Program (EAP) partner, SupportLinc, and is open for all full-time, benefits-eligible Penn State employees, postdoctoral appointees, partners and dependents, as well as members of their household.

SupportLinc will be presenting “Self-Care Strategies for Emotional Well-being.” During this one-hour webinar, the SupportLinc team will discuss how you can take care of your well-being as it relates to your productivity and overall health. When life gets busy, it can be difficult to remember to practice self-care. This webinar provides a greater understanding of what emotional well-being is, and how we can develop it by healthily recognizing, focusing on and prioritizing ourselves. Participants can register within the Learning Resource Network for this Zoom-based webinar.

More about SupportLinc and other resources can be found on the Penn State Human Resources health and well-being webpages.
