Penn State Health will be offering patients extended office hours to meet health care needs. Starting Monday, Aug. 31, extended hours for in-person nonrespiratory illness visits will be available at the 1850 East Park Avenue, State College, Pennsylvania location from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Additionally, virtual telehealth appointments will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. on Fridays. Both in-person and telehealth visits will be available on Saturdays and Sundays at the Park Avenue office from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting Saturday, Sept. 5. Appointments during week nights and weekend extended hours will be by scheduled appointment only to help minimize wait times, with both follow-up and acute visits available.
Due to the pandemic, and to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients, we will also have capability to care for patients with respiratory illness, without co-mingling with well patients. A virtual telehealth visit for respiratory illness can be offered Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and during extended hours from 5 to 7 p.m.. If an in-person visit is necessary to provide optimal care, a dedicated respiratory clinic is available Monday through Thursday, 5:15 to 7:15 p.m. Care of respiratory illness can be arranged by calling any Penn State Health Family & Community Office.
