Penn State’s WorkLion portal being upgraded

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – On Monday, Dec. 13, Penn State’s WorkLion portal will launch a new look and layout to University employees. The WorkLion Portal is a self-service-based system where University employees can perform the following tasks: 

  • Submit questions to Human Resources (HR),
  • Research HR related information via the Knowledge Base,
  • Review the latest employee news and announcements,
  • Use links provided to reach other HR tools such as Workday and the Learning Resource Network. 

With this launch, the new portal will offer all the same capabilities as the current one. However, the placement and overall navigation will be updated for an enhanced user experience. The new layout provides better placement for referenceable information and emphasizes the Knowledge Base, a self-service feature that offers real time information regarding HR policies and processes. In addition, the WorkLion portal upgrade will provide a better mobile experience, than current.
