Building dedication honors pioneering scientist, advocate Shirley M. Malcom

The 329 Building in Innovation Park will be dedicated to and named in honor of Penn State alumna Shirley M. Malcom for outstanding accomplishments in her professional career, including advocating for the advancement of women of color in STEM fields. Malcom received her doctorate in ecology from Penn State in 1974. The dedication reception on April 8 will be recorded and livestreamed by WPSU, and available for viewing through the Outreach website or Outreach Facebook event.
