UNIVERISTY PARY, Pa. — Penn State’s Child Study Center has announced its line-up for the 2014-2015 Speaker Series, an annual series that hosts distinguished speakers who address topics related to child and adolescent development. The following is a list speakers who will be a part of this year’s series.
— BJ Casey, director of the Sackler Institute for Developmental Psychobiology and professor of developmental psychobiology at Cornell University will present “Easy to Remember, Difficult to Forget: The Development of Fear Regulation” at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at The Nittany Lion Inn.
— Philip Fisher, professor of psychology and senior scientist for the Oregon Social Learning Center at the University of Oregon will present “Interventions to Promote Positive Outcomes Following Adverse Childhood Experiences” at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at The Nittany Lion Inn. Fisher will also present “Convergent Thinking: The Neuroscientific Intersection of Next-Generation Parenting Interventions” at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, in BBH Building room 22 as part of this year’s Bennett Lecture.
— Tracy Dennis, professor of psychology at Hunter College is scheduled to speak at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, in 127 Moore Building.
— Dr. Ned H. Kalin, Hedberg Professor and chair of the department of psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health will visit BBH Building on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, as part of the series.
— Christopher Browning, professor of sociology at The Ohio State University will speak at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015, in 127 Moore Building.
