HERSHEY, Pa. — The 2016 Once Upon a Miracle Ball raised $140,000 for Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Children’s Hospital. The event was held Oct. 29 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center and featured Miracle Child Leah, granddaughter of Dr. John Myers, a pediatric heart surgeon at the Children’s Hospital.

“I have been a pediatric heart surgeon at Penn State Children’s Hospital for over 30 years. There are hundreds of great nurses, physicians, therapists, technicians and Child Life specialists that I have had the honor and privilege to work with over the years,” Myers said. “I have witnessed firsthand how Children’s Miracle Network has helped us create miracles each and every day. We will strive to be better and better because we want to have the best for our kids. We want to create opportunities for new miracles so that no child has to suffer.”
