Tax credit seminar for business, entrepreneurs slated at Penn State DuBois

DUBOIS, Pa. — Small-business owners and individuals looking to launch a new business idea in the Tri-County area will benefit from at Tax Credit Seminar to be held from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday June 20, in Room 209 of the DEF Building at Penn State DuBois.

This program is presented by the North Central PA Regional Planning and Development Commission and KIZ Resources, LLC, and hosted by the North Central PA LaunchBox.

Those attending will receive information on the Tri-County Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) and benefits available to entrepreneurs through the KIZ in Clearfield, Jefferson and Elk counties. Assistance is available for small-business owners seeking tax credits, as well as support for research and development, education and more. Specific programs to be discussed include the Neighborhood Assistance Program, PA Historic Preservation Program, Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program, and Workforce Opportunity Tax Credit Program.

The KIZ is an incentive program that provides tax credits and other benefits to for-profit companies, less than eight years old, that operate within the zone. KIZ tax credits can significantly contribute to the growth of young companies.
