UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s state funding is vital to thousands of Pennsylvanians who rely on in-state tuition, which is directly funded by state dollars. Recent Penn State graduate Sean Terrey, of Flourtown, Pennsylvania, called in-state tuition a “blessing,” saying he wouldn’t have been able to attend college without it.

"It's really made a difference in my life, as well as my mother's, in not leaving that massive burden of debt," said Terrey, a 2022 alumnus of the College of the Liberal Arts.
