UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As part of a planned replacement of television transmitters in Clearfield and State College, WPSU-TV will be temporarily turning off the over-the-air broadcast signal to install the new systems at some point during the week of May 10.

Viewers who receive WPSU-TV’s broadcast by antenna or satellite will likely lose reception for several hours during the installation. Service on most major cable systems will not be impacted, and live streaming of WPSU programming will continue online at live.wpsu.org and through the PBS Video app.

“Our engineering team is working efficiently to minimize the duration of the over-the-air service outage so that we may return to regular service as soon as possible,” said Jeff Hughes, director of broadcasting for WPSU. “Thank you for your viewership and support of WPSU-TV.”
