WPSU to provide special primary election night coverage on May 15

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — WPSU Penn State will provide special election night coverage of Pennsylvania’s primaries on Tuesday, May 15. 

Election night coverage will begin at 8 p.m. on WPSU-FM and online at wpsu.org. Michael Berkman, director of the McCourtney Institute for Democracy at Penn State and a political science professor in the College of the Liberal Arts, will join WPSU-FM news director Emily Reddy and reporter Anne Danahy to provide news and commentary.

The trio will report on several Pennsylvania primary races, including governor, lieutenant governor, U.S. Senate and the new 12th, 13th, and 15th U.S. House districts. The coverage will include voting returns and their implications, including Pennsylvania’s role in deciding which political party controls the U.S. House of Representatives after November’s general election.

The new Pennsylvania congressional map was released by the state’s Supreme Court in February.
