WPSU’s 'Conversations Live' looks at Pennsylvania’s role in midterm elections

Community members can call in with questions for panelists

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Pennsylvania’s role as a battleground state in the 2022 midterm elections is the focus of WPSU’s “Conversations Live” on Thursday, Oct. 20. 

“Conversations Live: 2022 Midterm Elections” will air at 8 p.m. on WPSU-TV and WPSU-FM, stream online at live.wpsu.org and be available on-demand on WPSU’s YouTube channel and the PBS streaming app.   

Community members can ask questions during the show by calling 1-800-543-8242. Questions can be submitted ahead of time by emailing connect@wpsu.org or leaving a message at 814-863-6639. 

Pennsylvania voters will pick a new governor and new U.S. senator in races that could have a major impact on the rest of the country. Politics reporter Katie Meyer and political scientist Christopher Borick will speak about those races and others with host Anne Danahy. 

Meyer is the government editor and reporter for Spotlight PA. She was previously a political reporter for WHYY Public Radio in Philadelphia and covered state politics and government for WITF Public Radio in Harrisburg.  

Christopher Borick is a political science professor and director of the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion. He is a nationally recognized researcher who has conducted over 300 large-scale public opinion surveys during the past two decades.
