      Softball's Bailey Parshall pitches perfect game

      Penn State softball pitcher Bailey Parshall pitched a perfect game against Florida International University at the Panther Invitational in Miami, Florida, on Feb. 18.

      Parshall retired all 21 batters faced, allowing no hits, no base runners and recording 11 strikeouts in the Lions' 7-0 victory against FIU.

      The victory was Penn State's first perfect game since Missy Beseres pitched a perfect game against Saint Francis on March 30, 2005.
