Virtual boot camps offer business mentoring, chance to win $10,000

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Applications for Ben Franklin's free TechCelerator business accelerator program will close on Aug. 26. The virtual program offers a 10-week business startup boot camp and an opportunity to win $10,000 for a successful business model pitch.

The virtual boot camps will kick off on Sept. 13 and run through Nov. 29. Each session is scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m.

Participants will have the opportunity to network, engage with successful entrepreneurs, discuss their business models with experts, mentor with Ben Franklin's Transformation Business Services Network and Penn State's Small Business Development Center staff, and develop their business pitch.
