CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Bill Phillips, vice president and editor-in-chief of Men’s Health, will be the featured speaker at Penn State Lehigh Valley’s 2016 commencement ceremony, set for 10:30 a.m. May 7 at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem.
In his role as vice president and editor-in-chief of the world’s largest men’s magazine brand, Phillips oversees multiple editorial platforms including print, digital, social, television and branded books, which collectively reach a monthly audience of more than 35 million.
In 2015, under Phillips’ leadership, Men’s Health won the National Magazine Award for General Excellence, the industry’s highest honor. He has been nominated as a writer, too, for his 2005 feature story, “Hunting My Father’s Killer."
Phillips joined Men’s Health in 2003 as executive editor, was promoted to editor of MensHealth.com in 2009, and was named editor-in-chief in 2012. He is also the author of the 2015 hit book, “The Better Man Project.”
Phillips is a 1991 graduate of Penn State where he majored in English.
