College-wide staff meeting
The college-wide staff meeting will be held Tuesday, May 22. The agenda includes a State of the College by Dean Welch, an Exercise is Medicine overview, an introduction to the new School of Public Policy, Staff Advisory Committee updates, and IT updates. Breakfast items and beverages will be provided. Breakfast starts at 8:30 a.m., and the meeting starts at 9 a.m. in 121 Sparks Building.
Safe Zone 101 training
Liberal Arts staff are invited to a Safe Zone training from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, June 7, in 127 Moore Building. The Safe Zone training is a campus-wide program designed to raise visibility about the LGBTQA population, to understand the issues facing LGBTQA students, and become aware of the various LGBTQA resources at Penn State. The three-hour workshop provides a foundation of knowledge needed to be an effective ally to LGBTQA students at Penn State. Please register here by 5 p.m. Monday, June 4.

Submit your news
We are asking staff to submit their own content, such as information about upcoming college or department events, development opportunities for staff, and networking events. We’re also looking for information about each department, so feel free to submit interesting things about your department that makes it unique within the University. You can submit your information on the Staff Advisory Committee’s website at http://la.psu.edu/staffadvisorycommittee.
