Centerview Parking Garage now open

Centerview Parking Garage opened to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine employees Monday, Aug 6. The 1,300-space garage took the place of Lots 1, 2 and W, which have closed permanently to employee parking. The additional Rohrer shuttle buses that ran direct routes to the temporary lots are no longer in service. The regular campus shuttle will now have a regular stop along the southwest entrance of the garage. Currently, only garage levels one through four are open as the application of concrete sealant -- a coating to protect garage surfaces from the long-term effects of rain and ice -- continues. After work is complete on levels five and six, sealant application will then begin on the lower levels. Ramps and drive aisles will remain open on closed levels to allow motorists to park on levels above.
