Local Dairy Queen restaurants will celebrate Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, July 25 to benefit Penn State Children’s Hospital, one of 170 hospitals supported by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. For every Blizzard Treat sold on Miracle Treat Day at participating locations, $1 or more will be donated to Penn State Children’s Hospital. For a list of participating locations, visit www.miracletreatday.com.

View a funny promo video of 5-year-old Miracle Child Gannon Kupko of York Haven using Dairy Queen’s iconic red spoon to create miracles at the Children’s Hospital. Gannon was born at 28 weeks and weighed just 13 ounces. He was treated in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Children’s Hospital and continues to receive outpatient care.

As part of the build-up to Miracle Treat Day, Gannon will join Dairy Queen operators from York (Roosevelt Avenue) and Mechanicsburg as they sell Blizzard Treats from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Penn State Children’s Hospital (Tree House Café).
