Dr. Alyssa Anderson, a physician in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, is featured for May in Penn State College of Medicine’s “Exceptional Moments in Teaching” program.

Dr. Anderson is such a role model clinician and an excellent educator,” a current student wrote. “She explains what she is doing in a systematic, clear way and at a good pace to ensure our understanding. We never feel like she is rushing us and she answers all of our questions.

“She provides constructive feedback and helps us track our progress. She's also very organized and makes sure we know our schedules far in advance. I'm grateful to have learned my clinical skills from Dr. Anderson.”

A graduate of Penn State College of Medicine, Anderson completed her family medicine residency at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. She treats patients of all ages at Penn State Health Medical Group – Elizabethtown, where she also works with students at many different levels.
