Dr. Robert Soslow to speak in pathology lecture series

The Department of Pathology Visiting Professor Lecture Series will be held at 8 a.m. Friday, June 14, in the Pathology Conference Room, C7702, on the campus of Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine. The guest lecturer, Dr. Robert Soslow, will present “High-grade Endometrial Carcinoma: Finding Order Amidst the Chaos.”

Soslow is an internationally noted gynecologic pathologist who was raised in Philadelphia and educated at the University of Pennsylvania, with residency and fellowships in surgical pathology and immunopathology at Stanford University. He has been a member of the faculty at Cornell University and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he is currently professor of pathology and director of the gynecologic pathology service and fellowship program in gynecologic pathology.

His original and always insightful contributions to the understanding of clinical and pathologic characteristics of diseases of women include about 200 original manuscripts, four books and 15 book chapters. He is widely sought as a speaker because of the clarity and logic of his thought coupled with his delightful and entertaining educational approaches. In addition, he also has an interest and talent in music, and Middle Eastern languages.
