The Innovation Café has been recognized by the University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) and will be represented at the UIIN international conference, which commends best practices for academic and industry collaborations around the globe.
Penn State Hershey created The Innovation Cafe to meet a definitive need in the life science and health care communities by providing access to relevant information required to bring an innovative idea out of the lab and into the marketplace. The initiative serves as a platform to engage investors, entrepreneurial faculty, talents students and industry professionals committed to building a vibrant start-up community in central Pennsylvania.
The UIIN team facilitates collaborations between universities and industry, equips members to share research, recognizes innovative achievements, sponsors events to further inter-collegiate collaboration and highlights progress in the field. The conference will be held April 23-25 in Barcelona, Spain.
The UIIN will recognize Innovation Café in front of 300 participants as a finalist for best practices in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. The Innovation Café will present at the conference and the initiative will be published in the UIIN journal.
