Penn State Health ‘goes red’ for National Wear Red Day

Heart and Vascular Institute sponsors Go Red for Women campaign

HERSHEY, Pa. — Physicians and staff from Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine showed their support for National Wear Red Day by wearing red on Feb. 2.

Penn State Medical Group on Fishburn Road made a $108 donation to the American Heart Association (AHA) from sales of T-shirts they designed and sold for Wear Red Day.

The AHA’s annual event helps raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and stroke. One in three women die of heart disease and stroke each year. Learn how to fit exercise into your busy day in this American Heart Association (AHA) video.

Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute has sponsored the Go Red for Women campaign in the Capital Region for the past six years.
