The Penn State Health Muhlenberg Outpatient Center opened a primary care practice in a new facility Monday, Feb. 24. The newly renovated 11,400-square-foot facility is at 4301 N. 5th Street Highway, Temple, Pennsylvania, one mile north of its former Muhlenberg Township location. Urgent care and other outpatient services will open on Sunday, March 8, but will remain open at its current location through March 3.

The new outpatient center features expanded urgent care hours on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other walk-in services include WorkCare (i.e., occupational health), EKG, lab and X-ray, weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Physical therapy will be available by appointment at 610-208-8801.

“This new location gives us the ability to make care more accessible to this community and offers convenient hours for busy family and life schedules,” Mary Hahn, vice president of ambulatory services and business development at Penn State Health St. Joseph, said in November.

Penn State Health Muhlenberg Outpatient Center will host a grand opening event from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7. Local residents will have the opportunity to meet the doctors and staff, learn about the new services and tour the expanded primary care and urgent care spaces.
