The Penn State Hershey Office of Technology Development will host internationally recognized innovation and entrepreneurial mentors Merom Klein and Louise Yochee Klein of Courage Institute International, for the next Innovation Café session, from 8 a.m. to noon March 26 at the Penn State Hershey University Conference Center. The Kleins will share key techniques to capture the imagination of investors. The Kleins advise entrepreneurial leaders in corporate, academic and incubator settings throughout the United States, Israel, Canada, Scotland, Singapore, and Kenya. The team also serves as mentors and entrepreneur coaches for the Keiretsu Forum Mid-Atlantic, one of the largest global angel investment networks.
This Innovation Café will cover topics including; tips to capture the imagination of investors who march to a different rhythm than academic colleagues, how to pitch a technology to investors and provide valuable feedback on how the pitch may be received, next steps if an investor wants to fund the technology, how to access the commercial potential of an academic discovery as an entrepreneurial venture or as an innovation that could be licensed to a company, and requirements to serve in an executive level role at a spin-off company.
