Penn State Hershey Medical Center has launched Studyfinder, a website to search for open clinical research studies.
Studyfinder is updated nightly and downloads information from clinicaltrials.gov. Currently, not all open clinical studies are included in the results, but studies outside clinicaltrials.gov will be added in future development of the website.
Users of Studyfinder can browse by specific disease or condition or use search terms to find studies that match their needs. There is also an option for users interested in being healthy volunteers. Inquiry emails are sent to the Clinical Trials Office and are then forwarded to the appropriate study team.
Faculty are encouraged to review their study listings on clinicaltrials.gov to verify the information is correct and that the studies are still accepting volunteers.
Studyfinder is funded through the Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (Grant UL1 TR000127). The project was coordinated through Research Team and directed by Dena Jefferson as her team fellow project.
