Linda Salness, 56, mother of four and wife of Kym Salness, the former chair of emergency medicine at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, disappeared July 31 while backpacking in Kings Canyon National Park, Calif. She was last seen bathing alone on the bank of the fast-moving San Joaquin River near her group's campsite in Aspen Meadow.
Following the discovery of a body near the San Joaquin River last week, the search may be over. The coroner's office reported that the body is believed to be that of Linda Salness.
