Dr. Serdar H. Ural has been named the new director of maternal-fetal medicine and medical director of labor and delivery in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Prior to joining the Medical Center this month, Ural served several years (2000-2006) at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he was the director of the High-Risk Obstetrics Clinic at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Ural earned his medical degree at University of Ankara School of Medicine, Turkey, where he graduated in 1989. He came to the United States in 1989 and fulfilled a research fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, D.C. Following his residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center, Ural moved to Maryland where he fulfilled his fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2000. Ural is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the sub-specialty Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
