NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. -- Invitations for Penn State New Kensington's "For the Future: The Campaign for Penn State Students" closing celebration have been sent to all donors to the campus campaign. The closing ceremonies will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 23, in the Conference Center.

"The Wait is Over...the Future Starts Now" is an evening to celebrate achievement and opportunity, and a thank you to all supporters who have helped the campus exceed its $3 million goal. The campus total will be unveiled during the festivities. The celebration will feature complimentary appetizers and desserts and a performance by Second Floor Standup Comedy, a comedy troupe of Penn State students from the University Park campus.

Please RSVP to Tina Sluss at tms57@psu.edu or 724-334-6056. Donors who have not received invitations should contact Sluss.

The seven-year campus campaign is a part of the University-wide effort to raise $2 billion by June 30, the official end of the campaign. At the closing reception April 12 at the University Park campus, Penn State announced that it had topped its goal by over $157 million.
