In the event of snow, severe storms, or other emergencies, official word of closing the campus or delaying classes can be found on the radio (KDKA-1020 AM; B 94-FM 93.7, Y 108-FM 107.9); television (KDKA-TV Channel 2; WTAE-TV Channel 4; WPXI-TV Channel 11) or the internet (http://www.kdka.com, http://www.wtaetv.com). Cancellation and delay information for students and faculty/staff is also available by phone on a pre-recorded message - students: 724-334-6006; faculty/staff: 724-334-6005. The decision to cancel or delay classes will be made as early as possible, usually by 6 a.m. for day classes and 4 p.m. for evening classes. If a two-hour delay of classes is announced, classes will start at 10 a.m. and will last forty-five minutes.
