UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — During July, the Penn State Office of Physical Plant has maintenance work scheduled for three popular visitation sites at University Park.

Beginning July 10, the Barbara O. and James R. Korner Tower Terrace, located under the water tower between the Stuckeman Family and Theatre buildings, will be closed for two weeks for an exterior cleaning.

The Pennsylvania State University sign/stone wall near Beaver Stadium, known as the landmark sign — a popular photo destination at the intersection of East Park Avenue and Porter Road — will undergo lighting improvements starting on July 17. The work is expected to last one week.

Lastly, beginning July 24, the We Are sculpture, located near the Intramural Building at the intersection of University and Curtin Roads, will be fenced off for two weeks for sidewalk improvements and repointing of the sculpture’s stone foundation.

The duration of each project is subject to change, pending weather conditions.
