UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Students interested in entrepreneurship have the opportunity to network with like-minded peers, faculty and student organizations at the CommunENTI networking event, hosted by the ENTI Ambassadors from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31.The event will take place on the sixth floor of the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub.

The second annual CommunENTI aims to promote the Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ENTI) minor and provide students with the chance to learn from and connect with several entrepreneurship clubs and organizations, faculty and directors in the ENTI and CIENT (Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship). Some organizations that will be featured include Happy Valley LaunchBox, Nittany Entrepreneurship Society, CommRadio, Happy Valley Comm and the Blue and White Society.

Attendees will also have the chance to hear from student startups about their progression from forming ideas in ENTI classes to professional success. According to Lucy Bickel, lead ENTI Ambassador, featured startups have made almost $7,500 combined in one semester.

“Between the amazing clubs and organizations, getting to hear from student startups and learning more from the ENTI cluster directors about how the ENTI minor can be unique to students’ individual interests, this event truly encourages students to join the entrepreneurship community on campus in an extremely inclusive and fun way,” said Bickel.

Similar to last year’s event, attendees can take advantage of these opportunities in a casual, drop-in style, coming and going as they please. The evening will even offer food, including ice cream from the Penn State Berkey Creamery.
